Project Overview:
The scope of work for Contract No. AMI/CON/2021/016 includes the provision of construction services for the division and partitioning of the UN Women Offices located at UNAMI within the International Zone in Baghdad, Iraq. The works cover all required construction activities necessary to modify and reorganize the internal layout of the existing building in accordance with the approved drawings and specifications. This includes site preparation, protection of existing finishes, and any required partial demolition works related to the new layout.
The project involves the execution of internal partitioning works using suitable systems such as gypsum board, aluminum, and glass partitions to create offices, meeting rooms, corridors, and functional spaces. The scope also includes the supply and installation of internal doors with all related hardware, as well as sound insulation where required to meet functional and privacy requirements.
Finishing works form an essential part of the scope and include surface preparation, plastering, painting, installation of suspended ceilings, and floor finishes such as tiles, vinyl, carpet, or other approved materials. All finishing works shall be completed to a high standard consistent with UN and UNAMI requirements.
In addition, the scope includes furniture and fit-out works, covering the supply and installation of office furniture such as workstations, chairs, storage units, and meeting room furniture, ensuring proper fixing, alignment, and usability. Coordination with electrical, data, and mechanical works affected by the new partitions is included to ensure full functionality of the office spaces.
All works shall be executed in compliance with applicable safety, security, and quality standards required within the International Zone, and in full accordance with the technical specifications, approved materials, and the project schedule.
