Construction of IT Building – UNICEF Basra Office, Iraq
Successfully executed the construction of a dedicated Information Technology (IT) Building for UNICEF at its Basra Office, delivering a purpose-built facility designed to support critical IT operations, data management, and administrative functions in compliance with international standards.
The scope of work included civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and low-current systems, covering site preparation, foundations, reinforced concrete works, superstructure, internal and external finishes, and full MEP installations. The building was designed and constructed to accommodate server rooms, technical offices, controlled-access areas, and support spaces, with emphasis on functionality, reliability, and security.
IT-specific infrastructure included structured cabling systems, server room fit-out, raised flooring, precision cooling provisions, power distribution, UPS integration, grounding systems, fire detection and suppression interfaces, and data/telecommunication readiness, ensuring a stable and secure operating environment.
The project was delivered in line with UNICEF technical requirements, safety regulations, quality control procedures, and agreed timelines, demonstrating strong capability in specialized building construction, coordination of multidisciplinary works, and execution for international organizations.
